Indian Immersion

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, all 2020 tours have been postponed. We will provide an update once international travel bans have been lifted, and the Australian Government deems it safe to travel.

The tour is guided by Louise Fewtrell (Psychologist and Psychotherapist). Louise has been practicing as a psychologist for over 10 years and specializes in psychotherapy and Buddhist psychology. She has been regularly visiting the Northern regions of India for over a decade. Louise will guide you in setting your intentions for your spiritual experience. Through personal development exercises you will be guided in connecting to your inner self, opening your spiritual soul and creating a deeply transformative experience.

You will attend His Holiness Dalai Lama’s teachings in his home temple in McLeod Ganj. This is a unique experience where the local Tibetans and people from all parts of the world come together to share the Dalai Lama’s wisdom and knowledge.

During our time in Dharamshala we will have access to Rinpoche Karma Lhundup . Karma is a high Lama, practitioner and teacher of Tibetan Buddhist tantra and sutra. He specialises in Dzogchen traditions of meditation and ancient traditions. His teachings are simple, direct, humorous and applicable to everyday life and he has worked with this annual tour for many years.

The tour will be primarily set in North India, exploring towns in the Himachal Pradesh district. The mountains in the Lower Himalayas set a peaceful and scenic backdrop where you will be immersed in the Buddhist teachings, traditions and culture.

The tour will finish with a day trip to the spectacular Taj Mahal (including a personal guide), followed by a day of sightseeing in Delhi.
